Bonjour
I am Camille de Baranoff — a certified Professional Ballet Instructor and the owner of Miss Camille Ballet School here in La Jolla, California.
My love of movement began early. At the age of fifteen I won a national gold medal in rhythmic gymnastics, and ballet has been my life ever since, as an accomplished ballerina and gymnast. Today I share that same discipline, artistry and joy with every dancer who steps into my studio.
From Paris to La Jolla
My heart carries a little of Paris wherever I go — from the Palais Garnier to the gardens of the Tuileries. That French elegance lives in everything I teach.
Even my own ballet attire is from Repetto, Paris. I have brought this spirit to sunny La Jolla, where our little studio feels like a maison of its own.
The Paris Years
Before La Jolla, I performed as a professional ballerina in France and trained under several mentors — the foundation of everything I teach today.
In the Studio
From petite first-timers to graceful adults, everyone is welcome at the barre. Classes are kept small and warm, blending classical technique with encouragement — and every year our students shine on stage in the annual Ballet School Show.

Beyond the studio, I design and hand-sew one-of-a-kind bags, dolls and hair accessories in La Jolla — little treasures for birthdays, flower girls and every small ballerina’s dreams.
